Most durable type of arrowhead

Postby flamewielder » Sat Oct 22, 2016 9:37 pm

Hey Dagorhirrun,

I am considering buying a few foam arrows and have noticed that there are only three basic types on the market: flathead, screw on heads, and round heads.

Does anyone know which of these three types is the most durable and the cheapest to replace/ maintain?

Link to a website that sells all three.

Thanks,

Those are made for light contact LARPs and will almost definitely fail.  If you want to make your own heads, this is an old but reliable tutorial: http://www.dagorhir.com/gear/content/we ... .pdf  I replace the eva with blue foam and prefer to make mine modular, building the heads on a 2" length of 3/8" cpvc before building up the shaft with duct tape to fit snugly and securing as shown.  If you'd rather buy, look at Gorg or a number of other vendors.
