one of our PD shields flew off the top a vehicle and got hit by a passing semi on I-69 on the way home from Olympics this year and it came out of that unscathed. Plasti-dip is pretty damn durable I'm pretty sure a foam weapon meant for safely beating things isn't going to be a problem.
