Done scenario battles. Don't care for them too much personally. Doesn't change the fact that it is stupid to encourage someone to make a costume that is immune to blue and gree, takes two reds to kill, and has head and kick daggers.
Rebutle.. The horns were completely a joke and the argument for the use of them was created solely for the sake of the argument. The only way that they would work is if I/my chapter held an event that allowed the use of them under specific regulations. Any special damage withstanding capabilities would also be strictly contained within such an event.
BTW, I'm not in any way stating any use of a foot mounted dagger for me to walk around and enjoy kicking people all day. That would be fun, but in no way would be capable of any sort of safe operation. lol
If you actually read and comprehended what is being said in this thread, then you would have a h*ll of a lot less to b*tch about...
BTW, very well done...

Welcome Albrand and good luck in your ventures.
I've only been to Johnson City a couple times for the Cruisin' Memory Lane festival and car show, but I loved it around there.
Except for what I've heard about the crazy numbers of transvestites around there lol

This was all initially intended as a joke. But, the more I've thought about it, the more it seems plausible.
The horns were completely a joke and the argument for the use of them was created solely for the sake of the argument. The only way that they would work is if I/my chapter held an event that allowed the use of them under specific regulations. Any special damage withstanding capabilities would also be strictly contained within such an event.
The dagger hooves would not be an issue once I explain how they will be used. The dagger will be wielded backhanded, as in the stabbing tip would be placed where the pommel of a typical sword would be held. The cloth of the costume would essentially just cover the junction of my hand and the dagger, similar to how Peter's red flannel footy pajamas cover his feet, but with the head of the dagger sticking out. This way it looks as tho it's a (semi)realistic hoof, and the dagger would not be weilded in any non-typical or unsafe manner.
BTW, I'm not in any way stating any use of a foot mounted dagger for me to walk around and enjoy kicking people all day. That would be fun, but in no way would be capable of any sort of safe operation. lol

The horns.... Duh.. lol The hooves would be daggers, just contained within the cloth of the costume for theatrical effect (if this clarifies further). I see no issue with this effect.

If I did this, creating the dagger-hooves and dagger-horns and doing it right, I would expect the extra courtesy of being impenetrable to blue and single green lol. And possibly needing two red shots to take death.
I mean, sh*t, I'd be a freakin minotaur...

Very nice. Those are some sick goat legs.
The dagger horns are the one thing that would make the idea worth doing for me. It's the absurdity of it all that's enticing. So many variations of the costume could be made. Making daggers built into the arms of the costume as hooves for playing just a bull... Could be fun....

The link for The Black Tower website in the locations section is no longer an active link. This is the direct link to our forum page. If someone could replace the old link with this one so folks can find their way over if they choose, it would be much appreciated. http://anakrissryhart.proboards.com/index.cgi?Thanks Ocularis

I'm considering ending my indefinite hiatus from Dag for this event.
I hope to have the new chain and/or plate/scale fit and finished by then, but we'll see.
It's worth it.
Ya, I skipped last years event because I didn't have complete veteran level garb (which I found out later was more veteran level than required). I really wanna get in on it this year.

How long is the commute for most of you to get to work and back?
I occassionally commute to work in Morgantown which is within 35 minutes of my house in Clarksburg. Morgantown actually has the lowest unemployment rate in the country. The job market can be extremely saturated at times, but things open up eventually.

I love Clarksburg... Even though Aondor lives like a mile and a half away lol
Mortgage on our new 3 BR, 1 1/2 bath victorian with detached 2 story 2 stall garage is only $306 per month.
Rent on our 2 bedroom townhouse-wannabe thing in Morgantown was $850/month.
Why in the f*ck did I ever rent??

Unless a battle for some reason has a mage in it or some type of rules dealing with magical items or whatever then once a shield is broken, it's broken.

HAHAHAHA.... Are you f**king kidding me?? How in the hell can you sit there and call Malkin and Crosby cry babies and then have the ignorance left over to tell me I have no clue what I'm talking about??? One picture... One video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwxTrxESWjIYou want me to bring more backup to my argument?? He's dirty as f**k... I don't give two sh*ts how good the guy is. He's a f**king piece of sh*t who is pampered by the league for no other reason but to keep him IN the league, because you know as soon as he'd get fined/suspended for doing anything that he's always done that he'd take off back to Russia.

Steelers fans are Steelers fans and have been Steelers fans their entire lives... Anyone that hasn't been their entire lives can go f**k themselves cuz they make the rest of us look bad.
They're exactly like every Patriots fan on Earth... Ten years ago there was no such thing as a Patriots fan... It was a MYTH!

"It got to the point where some radio personalities had to question the reporting they were getting because it really turned out to be a total non factor"
This is due to the fact that unless a player is dealing with something career threatening, the Steelers organization doesn't report anything to the media until they know the extent of the situation. They never have speculated and they never will. I listen to nothing said about pro athletes until there is something officially documented and reported to the league because until that happens, especially in Pittsburgh, media sources have nothing to report on except what is speculated by OTHER media sources. The media is full of sh*t and blows everything out of proportion unless they have official reports to go on. The official team report is the only thing that needs attention paid to it.
"I usually only cry when I get beat by a girl, then I cut myself."
We're apparently in the same boat.
""NEVER have I heard someone act hurt as much as this guy." I did not mean to infer all at once, he just acts like every injury is reeeeeeal bad... and then the media blows it even farther out of proportion."
As I stated before, the Pittsburgh Steelers organization reports nothing to the media and prefers that players involved do not meet with media until injuries are medically examined to determine the extent of an injury.
With an O-line such as the Steelers had for the majority of last season any quarterback that did not sustain a season ending injury would have to consider themselves lucky. That was the worst play from an O-line I've ever seen.
The media blows everything relating to the Pittsburgh Steelers out of proportion, just as they have done involving the Patriots, Cowboys, Brett Favre, and Donovan Mcnabb over the past few seasons.
I'm so sick of the bullsh*t gossip that the sports media throws around that I've virtually stopped watching anything that is not a sporting event on ESPN.
I can see where you're coming from regarding the media blowing the world out of proportion, but remember it's not necessarily coming out of a mouth that actually knows what it's talking about.
I'm sure I may have been a little redundant somewhere in there, but so is the media.

Dude... Seriously.... What the f**k are you smoking???
Let's see you get your ankle stomped by a 400 pound black man and see how much you cry about it. Somehow I don't think your boss would give two sh*ts tho. He wouldn't tell you to come to work and sit around with an icepack not doing anything just so you'd be back at 100% sooner either.
And where the h*ll are you hearing Roethlisberger crying about sh*t?? Produce some sh*t to back up your statement and we'll talk some more.
