I wouldn't try to patch these back together. The tips are blowing out because the weapons' owners have been hitting hard with that part of the sword, and if you patched the tips back together, people would keep on hitting people hard with those half-dead, patched together tips. I think that's a recipe for accidental injury when the tips finish tearing off mid-fight. I'd play it safe and replace the tips (per Cassin's advice), even if that means using blue foam instead of that 2lb MC. New blue foam is better than shredded, zombie 2lb MC.

3. Writing and gathering a few more articles / tutorials / pictures for my dagorhir culture/fechtbuch. It's a work in progress.

I'd been considering such a thing, but wasn't sure how to go about it. Care to shoot a rough draft my way when you have something more put together? I'd love to see what you have.

I'm happy to share, but it's about 100-150 pages right now. Very well organized in the book, but they're all separate documents on my computer, except for about a quarter of them which are just photocopied out of some of my books here and aren't on the computer. Sometime I could make a massive PDF, but not before Rag.
