Dagorhir in the news (Again!)
« on: September 23, 2007, 11:31:00 pm »
The Sunday Source section of the Washington Post(my local paper) decided to do a cover artcile on the SCA primarily, but off to the side under the Banner of: More Sources for A Medieval Fix along with some other groups and Renaissance festivals, is an ad for Dagorhir!
It says verbatim :"Dagorhir Battle Games.  This group was founded in 1977 and inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings' books.  It combines history with fantasy (i.e., combat with role-playing).  Its D.C. realm, Aratari(www.dagorhir.org), includes specialized groups such as Ikko Taizen, a fighting unit that re-creates the combat and customs of medieval Japan."
Pretty cool eh?
Just thought I'd put it out there,

The main article does include the link to the Dagorhir T-tunic tutorial as well.

If you didn't get a copy of Sunday's Washington Post, you can read it on-line here.

It is not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom — for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
