easy garb for beginners

A t-tunic has got to be the easiest thing to make. Check out the tutorial on the how-to page. Plus, it actually looks pretty good.

Add some pants in an earth-toned color (scrubs, slacks, sweat pants... anything that doesn't look too modern). Salvation Army is a good cheap place to look.

Then toss in some brown or black shoes... something that doesn't stand out. They don't have to be period, just not so modern that people notice they from 10' away (good: black tennis shoes; bad: something with a big white Nike swoosh on the side).

Get a belt to put over top of your tunic - pretty much any belt will work. Probably even the one you wear normally, if you aren't using it to hold your pants up.
