Garret and Vu stood silent for a few moments, before the Mongolian finally spoke:

"Well, heart or not, you must hungry. I have some rabbit stew over there, so help yourself."

Garret thanked Vu but declined; the sinking feeling in his stomach had killed whatever hunger he once had.

Garret put his hand to his forehead and looked around. The forest was a deep green, mysterious as always. A few birds flitted through the branches, perching on a limb every few moments to look around. There was a dense undergrowth in this part of the woods; a slight gap in the nearly-solid forest allowed for precious light to hit the ground, unmolested by the shady branches of the trees. Vu sat in the sparse sunlight, running his whetstone of the saber methodically.

Suddenly, Vu's head whipped around behind him. He dropped his whetstone, stood up, and presented his curved blade in front of him, warily staring a bundle of bushes straight ahead.

After a heartbeat or two of silence, Vu slowly let his sword down.

"Could've sworn that bush moved..." he said, oddly loudly. When he winked at Garret, it alighted upon the alchemist that he was waiting for whatever had moved in the bush. Garret casually pulled his seaxe out of his pack's scabbard, and took a seat next to Vu.

Two minutes later, the bush rustled. Both men jumped up and held their swords out. The bush rustled again, rather loudly this time. A stray branch stuck out from the bush, and a clump of moss appeared right behind it.

"...Dralcos?" asked Garret hesitantly, with a questioning face. But when a low growl came from the bush, Garret knew it was not Dralcos.

A medium-sized, blood-red, spherical beast emerged from the undergrowth. Its tail swished back and forth as it grumbled again. Garret and Vu stood wide-eyed at the curiously-odd beast.

The little monster opened its mouth and, as if it couldn't get any weirder, a small green humanoid rolled out, face contorted in confusion.

The two pairs stared at each other in silence for a few moments, both perplexed by the other.

But suddenly, the green humanoid screamed at the red beast, and the spherical animal promptly belched a ball of fire into the sky. Following the fireball, vicious war cries could be heard not too far off.

Now grinning, the little green one yelled into the forest behind him:

"OI! I GOTS A FEW 'UMIES OVA HEA!"

((Well well well...))

The units dispatched to watch the widest perimeter of the camp were the Squig Riders that rode under Grimgot. Grimgot sent them out for one reason, Squigs are annoying. The Goblin Shaman that commanded these Squigs Riders was rather annoying as well. Skik had a rather uncanny way of always be able to blow things up, even when he was tied up and gagged.

With such a fireball in the sky, the boyz knew something had to be out there.
Grimgot turned as the camp let out a collective bellow. All the greenskins began grabbing weapons and shield and running toward the source of the fireball. Xogdut was at his side in a flash of black.

"Stop dem morons from leavin. Its probably somfink dumb. Yer in charge."

Xogdut ran off and began beating every orc and goblin within reach.

"SEND DEM BOAR BOYZ TO SKIK! SEE WOT IS GOIN ON OVA DERE!" Xogdut bellowed.

Grim got turned back to the Chaos Champion and bowed.

"You wanna see wots goin on? I hope it's somfink to stab!"

Without wasting time to see if the Chaos Champion was following Grimgot ran off to find his steed, the boar Thickskull.

Garret's eyes widened in fear as he heard the clanking of heavy armor and the snorts of boars. Tugging at Vu's arm and pulling him into the trees, Garret began to sprint. Vu followed close behind, easily keeping pace with Garret.

But after only a few minutes of running, Garret began to wheeze. He inhaled deeply but felt as though he couldn't get enough air. Trying to push on, Garret swallowed hard and stumbled through the bushes. But finally, his knees buckled, and he tumbled to the ground.

"Damned old age..." grumbled Garret. "This is really not the time to be acting up..."

Vu gave a confused look to Garret. Since Vu had met him, the man had aged at least a decade.

Stowing away the thought for later, Vu hauled Garret up, and dragged him behind a thick, root-mangled oak. He laid the old man down in a natural burrow of bulbous roots. Vu listened closely to the forest's sounds. He could still hear the grunting of boars not far off.

He quickly jumped into the burrow Garret was placed in. To his surprise, he found a young man in the hole.

"Um..."

"I'll explain later. But for now, just stay quiet and..."

Suddenly, a hairy, grotesque snout popped out over the root-burrow. A hoof clopped onto the roots and a cloud of warm air jetted out from the nose.

Garret moved his head an inch forward to get a look at the rider of this boar. A green-skinned humanoid was mounted on the boar, a wicked cleaver in its hand.

Garret gulped.

"Looky wot I's got 'ere..."said Grimgot, yanking on the reins of Thickskull. At the end of the boars snout, two figures lay in the tangles of roots at the base of a tree. The one was obviously not a normal pinkie, his eyes were almond shaped, his skin a tanner hue. The other was a young lad, simply clad, but with the look of the ages upon him.

Pulling on the reins again, Thickskull reared up and turned so Grimgot could get a fuller view of these humans. Xogdut clanked to his side with Skik in his clutches.

"He tried ta blast me again..." Wheezed Xogdut, smoke coming from the edges of his body, his face covered in soot. Skik could only make gurgling noises as Xogdut tightened his grip on his neck. Grmigot waved and the Black Orc dropped the shaman. Dismounting, Grimgot kneeled and stuck his cleaver in the face of the large human, and pointed.

"Geddup. An don't try anyfin stupid, or I'll gut ya."

The rest of the Black Orcs were stomping toward the humans growling menacingly, brandishing their choppas. They formed a circle around the humans and began pulling cords and rope from around their shoulders.

"Make sure dey can't escape, tie them like we does the pigs."

With that, the captives were strung up by their arms and legs and hung from a large thick branch. Two of the Black Orc picked up the branch and began to attach it to the boars they were riding guiding the beasts as a pair back to the camp.

"Dees humies aint fer eatin! Dey is for da big Kaos Boy! You 'ear me?" Grimgot spoke as he returned to camp, seeing that many of the greenskins around him had eating utensils and cooking fires going.

Tied to tall stakes in the ground, the young man and the odd-eyed human were left outside Grimgot's tent.

((Edit: Garret your stuff is in my tent. Obviously, any weapons or bags you were carrying I took off you and kept for myself.))

Kossak pondered the peculiarity and beastliness of greenskins as they ran off into the forest.  His head held high he looked to his Black Legion Honor Guard, "Be on the watch.  I do not trust these beasts easily.  There is something familiar in the air as well..." he rasped.

The Chaos Champions quickly unslung their shields and slammed them.into the ground, Skarr, their leader, looked out into the greenery.

"They return, Warmaster," his voice was deep and powerful.  A true Norscan warrior from the heart of the Wastes.   He was a full head taller than even Kossak, and almost twice his build. When the two had first met, it had been a colossal battle, lasting for almost an entire day.  In the end, Skarr had conceded from exhaustion, and pledged his sword to the Warmasters horde.

"And they bring visitors," is all Kossak replied.

Garret quietly allowed himself to be bound to the branch. No use in trying to fight these green-men, whom he assumed were orks. They were colossal and stood a full two head higher than Garret. They brandished huge hunks of sharpened metal, perfect for hacking through bone and sinew. Many had jutting tusks protruding from their jaws. Quite scary creatures.

The horde took a short ride back to their camp and deposited Garret and Vu beside a large red canvas-and-leather pavilion. A flag with the orks' symbol fluttered in the slight breeze. Two green-skins tied Garret and Vu to tall wooden stakes and proceed to sit in front of the new prisoners.

The larger of the two stared at Vu, puzzled.

"Dis 'umies diffent. Wots' up wif his skin?" The ork poked Vu's tanned face with the point of his choppa.

The smaller one immediately jumped up off his feet and swiped the choppa from the larger ork's hand. Angered, the larger one stood up as well.

"Wot' was dat for?"

"Don't poke 'em! Dey ah NOT for eatins! Grimgot wants 'em unhurted!"

The larger ork stared angrily at the smaller one. The smaller one stared back, just as angrily. They proceeded to get into a shouting match with each other. Taking the guards' distraction as an opportunity, Vu whispered to Garret:

"Got any plans?"

Garret tap his foot on the ground for a few moments.

"I got one." he finally said, smiling. He looked around for a prime target and found one, sitting beside a purple fire and brandishing a wicked longsword. The Chaos Warrior was just the man he was looking for.

"Hey, orks." The orks stopped shouting for a minute to look at Garret, both still scowling. Garret nodded towards the Chaos Warrior. "That guy over there, sitting next to the fire? Yeah, he's been giving you dirty looks. He also mumbled something foul about your wrestling prowess, I think? Or maybe it was your mothers...?"

Quite offended, the orks went to retrieve their choppas and show that Chaos Warrior a lesson. But Garret stopped them by shaking his head.

"No, no, don't use those. He said you weren't good at wrestling. Just leave you weapons over here," Garret nodded at the ground, a few inches from his feet. "I'll make sure nobody steals them. You guys go wrestle him and prove him wrong."

The orks stared at the Chaos Warrior.

"I neva liked 'im anyway. Les git 'im."

The orks ran off towards the Warrior. Garret smiled crookedly and reached out with his foot for the choppas. Using his recently de-clothed toes (the bastards took his wool socks), he dragged the choppas to the base of his post.

The orks had just tackled the unsuspecting Warrior.

"Must hurry..."

Garret put the sword perpendicular to the post, sharpened side up, and dropped to the ground. The blade sunk into the rope. Garret wiggled his arms back and forth as furiously as he could until the rope broke. Hands freed, Garret hefted the choppa, which weighed quite a bit, and slammed it down on Vu's ropes. Both freed, Garret and Vu looked at the orks, who now had the Warrior arm-barred and head-locked. The Warrior roared for help.

Brow furrowed, Garret watched as a large troop of Chaosmen jogged over to the Warrior. They tore the orks off him, both of which were smiling, happy to have proven themselves. From the pack of Warriors came a much more adorned Warrior. He was dressed from head to toe in Chaos armor, and pulled on of his men aside.

"Be on the watch.  I do not trust these beasts easily." He gestured to the orks, seated on the gorund smiling. "There is something familiar in the air as well..."

A very tall man ran out to the well-adorned Warrior, who caught Garret's gaze across the way.

"They return, Warmaster." The Warmaster didn't even turn his head.

"And they bring visitors."

Garret inhaled sharply as he realized who this Warrior was.

"Vu, get in the tent." said Garret, pushing Vu into the tent. Garret followed.

Dralcos had the feeling he had been close to Garret when suddenly the feeling lessened, not disappeared but it got a good deal further away from himself, he needed to pick up the pace now. He rushed on towards Garret, but a feeling of chaotic energies had him worried about Garret's physical condition.

Kossak turned towards the stakes, looking intently he started walking that way slowly with Skarr, "Go tell the Warboss to take better care of his men or ill kill the next one that touches my warriors."

He marches to the tent and examined the stakes with the cut rope.  Picking up a piece he checked the 2 orchestra blades beside them, "Something is going on I don't like...Garak!"

Another warrior in all black but baring purple and blue Slaaneshi runes walked over to Kossak, "Yes Warmaster?"

"Search the camp...you'll know what you're looking for when you find it...take the others."

The lithe warrior bowed slightly and set off like a bolt, the warriors scattering as Kossak looked at the tent opening.

Picking over the best of the slop in the slop tent Grimgot sat among the piles stacking the mushrooms and hunks of meat that he deemed suitable for his pallet. The tent flap rustled and Grimgot looked up to see a towering Chaos Warrior. Stand up and grabbing his choppa from the ground, Grimgot looked the Chaos Warrior up and down.

"You be needin me, boss?" He said as a grin split his face and he skrewed a large purple mushroom with the end of his choppa, pointed the stuck fungus at the intruding warrior.

"My lord wishes me to give you a message, One of your boyz attacked one of my lord's men, no damage was done as they only wrestled him to the ground. My lord wishes you to know...if your men are to touch my lord's, heads will be taken for the Skull Throne.

"Aye, aye, I know me boyz is a little rowdy, but you kin take dere heads if ya need. Makes 'em follow orders betta." said Grimgot has he stuffed the huge purple fungus into his mouth

---------------------------------------------------------------------

On the other side of the camp, two humans enter Grimgot's personal tent, the guards posted to watch them easily confused and redirected by the prisoners. The flaps of the tent flip open briefly and then close just as quickly. The humans slip inside and peer around in the blackness of the insides, the wind outside rustling the canvas and leather.

As their eyes keen in to the darkness of the tent, they begin to hear clanking and the shifting of a massive bulk.

"Yous pinkies aint supposed to be goin anywheres." Says Xogdut

The giant greenskin, his armor grinding and clanking, turned around. Bright red eyes, menacing and cruel, turned to look upon these new intruders. A crude club in his hands, he lashed out at the humans knocking them back outside the tent. Grip the two in his iron clad hands he picked them up from the ground by their hair and called out to the Chaos Warriors standing nearest the tent "Oi, you Kaos boyz wanna keep an eye out on dees humies? I know that  got some heads to bash fer dis one!"

I'm going to jump in now. Too much stuff to read; I'll pick it up as I go, but I've thusfar gathered that there is an orcish warcamp, correct?

Goats Kordatar was small as Urkzimmuthi went, or anyone else for that matter, but that did not stop him from roaming where he wished. Neither did his simple clothing. A brand new bastard sword hung at his back behind a battered leather shield, and an iron shortsword hung at his hip. A steel dagger was tucked under the other hip. Finally, a sack in his hands was slung over his shoulder.

For Goats was a mercenary, and very pleased with the results of his latest job. At midday he decided to rest a while.

He looked into his sack as he sat down on a handy boulder. He pulled out an apple and munched contentedly.

"Where to go now, I wonder," he muttered as he adjusted his wool hat on his head better. That's when he noticed the large camp in the distance. He pondered it's presence for a while, and decided to look into it. He started walking.

That's a pretty good start doncha think?

Time to ad-lib a bit.

Goats reached the camp in a significantly smaller time than he had expected. It was a lot closer than it had looked; he now realized exactly how immense this camp really was.

Noticing a sort of tension, he left his sack and shield in a hollowed out tree trunk, drew his dagger, and started sneaking around.

Somebody notice me now.

There were 3 signs Dralcos noticed as he got closer to his signal root. One, was the smell of lot's of orcs, 2, the forest was quiet here because of everything going on in the area and was caused by the third reason, Kossak and his army. He had figured when he had started hurrying along that some chaos warriors were there but why weren't they moving out yet? If the orcs had been part of his forces they'd be marching with the columns behind him, that just meant that the leaders were talking and maybe making possible arrangemeants to join together in the future.

This day is sucking more sap than a horde of starving yellow bellied sap suckers. Could this day get really any worse? as he shook his head to himself.

He would soon find out as he came up on the camp, he blended in to mask his appearance better, even if his energies could be sensed, it'd still take a bit before pinpointing him . . . a lot could happen in a few minutes time.

I'm going to assume you have reached the camp now. I'm getting bored.

The first thing Goats noticed was the smell of of orcs. Not that it bothered him; Being adopted, he had grown up with them. The second thing was an unusual amount of hubbub; it was obviously an army, and while armies have things to do as well, there seemed to be a sort of rush going on.

Then he noticed a different smell. The smell of moss and plant life.

He had heard of the Swamp King, and well believed it, but didn't think he'd be here. He tried to whisper:

"I know you're there... Maybe we can help each other... Do you know what's going on in this camp?"

(( agreed Rainen, it's been days since i even had the time to check recently))

Dralcos began seeing movement and camplife as he drew ever closer to one of his few and only friends. He continued his blending and observation as he made his way slowly around the encampment, This is gonna be nearly impossible to do quietly since I can't even see him yet. If they did put him somewhere out of sight he took a small sigh, It's gonna one hell of a break and run.

As he was readying himself for an in depth investigation in a person to person matter, Dralcos paused at the sound of speech. . "I know you're there... Maybe we can help each other... Do you know what's going on in this camp?" Just in front of him was Goats, though he didn't know it at the time as he froze solid and blended in. Deciding against such direct conversation for fear of being compromised, he made a wooden face with stones for eyes form out of the nearest tree in front of Goats.

In hushed tones Dralcos spoke and saw through that wooden face. "Someone wise enough about me should know that I don't like surprises, but seeing as you haven't yelled out yet for help regarding your current predicament, I'd say you want something. Quid pro quo, in return for your reasons I'll tell you that I have no idea what's going as of yet, but there is a small group of kaotic members here, including their leader, Kossak." The face turned slightly as it spoke again as if looking around to make sure of not being watched. "Seeing them in this particular camp has me greatly worried though. Me and some friends of mine have come across both groups before, and not fared well, them joining up together would likely be bad for all in the lands north of this region."

The face turned down and gave Goats a peculiar look, almost like hannibal the cannibal gave in silence of the lambs, "Now, quid pro quo. I've said what I know, now you tell me. Why would you be in a place so close to such a hostile army if not one of their scouts? Why do you trespass here so easily were few dare tread in their best and bravest of moods? . . . "

The face then seemed to grow very upset, " . . . and how did you come to know of me? . . ."

((hows that Rainen? lol ))

" . . . and how did you come to know of me? . . ."

"Legends, rumors, small talk mostly. I wasn't quite sure if they were true until now. Besides, your disguise is not perfect; you have a very, shall we say, mossy smell about you, you should probably cover it. As for sneaking," he paused to take a breath, "It's mostly a matter of waiting until nobody is paying attention. Mostly I was just curious though; Ordinarily, I'm a mercenary by trade, but I know a bad job when I see one; these guys aren't worth asking about it."

"Anyways, all this tip-toeing is getting old. Is there anything I could be doing? I think they should probably be stopped."

Kossak marched towards the tent opening, expanding his senses through the magicks Tzeentch had taught him.  His eyes opening into a sight beyond sight that spanned the Warp and reality, mingling the two.  His eyes searched around the camp, before he heard the calling out of the orks and chaos warriors.

((It is illegal to let this thread die  ;) ))

Svenrir chuckled his long, canine way of laughing. The rumble from his throat echoed inside his massive daggerlike teeth, sounding like a waterfall of gurgles. He looked down at Dom and nudged him with his nose.

Never mind it. Must just be the fish-catching-men out in force. Rain's coming, they're probably on their way to seek shelter. Come further into the den, you will need nourishment and Rainen's mother would like to thank you for keeping him sane.

The Wolf motioned his head to four tall oak doors set into the stone of the Hold behind them; the way Svenrir had come out. He sent the Dwarf a mental image of hearty stew, sour bread, and sweet ale. The scents and images mixing around in his mind to make his mouth water. The Wolf grinned before striding back, hoping he'd follow.

The face gave the look of a shrug, "Well then I'll have to work on masking it better then, something so simple and it gave me away. Phbbbbbbt. " soaked with sarcasm.

The face turned again towards the camp, "As for doing something, I can't show myself without being found almost immediately. Kossak and I are opposing energies so he'll find me the second I try anything other than distance recon, but I have an ally in there."

The face turned back to Goats. "If you wouldn't mind getting in there and finding a man named Garret for me, I believe I may be able to find you some employment . . . after a fashion." With one last smirk. "Or at least something to do for a while that might get your . . . heart racing to be sure. You interested?"

Garret and Vu backed up into the tent and closed the flaps quickly. Garret turned to his companion and spoke:

"What now?"

"How should I know? This is your plan!" responded Vu. Suddenly, a deep voice called out from the shadows of the tent.

"Yous pinkies aint supposed to be goin anywheres."

Garret and Vu spin around to face the greenskin that appeared from the shadows. The ork was ponding his palm slowly with head of his crude club. With a cracked smile across his face, the ork swung his club at the two men. Garret and Vu flew out of the tent and onto the ground next to their broken shackles. Then, with two massive hands, the ork picked up both Garret and Vu and yelled out to the Chaos Warriors.

"Oi, you Kaos boyz wanna keep an eye out on dees humies? I know that I got some heads to bash fer dis one!"

Garret quickly swung his leg backwards, landing it in the ork's stomach. The ork fell with a groan, falling to his knees and gripping his stomach. Vu dropped to the ground on his feet and elbowed the ork in the skull, square in the cheek.

With nods to each other, Garret and Vu ran down the dirt road towards the middle of the camp, away from the throng of Chaos Warriors.

Goats considered this a moment. His last job, while successful, was rather dull now that he thought about it. He could use some sheer excitement... and Goats never turned down payment if it was offered.

"Okay, I'll find this Garret person. Is there some way I can prove you sent me?"

((I'm back))

The Warmaster remained in the cover of thick woods just outside the Ithilien keep. One of the Warmasters men looked upon the keep with unease then turned to Sveinn.

"In what way are we to storm this keep? We are but a few, and there is no telling how many of them are inside."

Sveinn grinned, though displeased with the warriors insolence. He very quietly explained to his soldiers.
"I wouldn't be Warmaster if I didn't have an answer for that. You forget, we have more numbers that you think." He gestured to one of the magus's, whom carried a summing staff with her. "But that's not all. We will also be giving them a surprise from the inside. We just wait for the next guard on watch to come by, and we take him silently, alive. And after, simply send him back in."  Some of the warriors looked at Sveinn as if he was mad, but it soon dawned on them the intent of his plan. The all grinned mischievously and prepared for the ambush.

The sky began to grow darker still, the rain was soon to come. Soon, a guard on watch duty made way along the out side of the wall. He stopped as he heard a snap in the woods and began to get closer to investigate. Once at the edge of the woods, three of the Warmasters knights swiftly grabbed him, keeping his silent as the rendered him unconscious.

The lead magus was careful in placing her incantations upon the unsuspecting Ithilien guard, a ritual only taking about 10 minutes. Once down, Sveinn's men carefully placed the unconscious guard back near the edge of the woods. He later woke not remembering a thing. He felts a small pain in his head and looked to the ground where he noticed a fallen branch and assumed it hit him. He then finished his watch and returned to report in, explaining his tardiness was due to a blow to the head from that fallen branch. Once done, the unsuspecting victim returned inside the keep. The Warmaster's ace in the hole was in place. All he wanted now was for the rain to come.

"Take this." an arm reaches out of the tree by the face and tears of a piece of bark from another one nearby. As he hands it over in turns into a perfectly smooth ball or wood. "This will also aid in his finding, the closer you get the warmer this will get. When you find him just say 'elementals friend', the orb will do the rest." The face and arm disappeared back into the tree.

Goats raised an eyebrow at the wooden orb as the face disappeared.

If you say so, Goats said, picking it up. It felt very smooth and moderately warm.

He tucked under his arm and started running in a random direction. The ball started to feel warmer; this was the right way! He upped his pace until he ran into a tough looking orc.

"Hey! Watch it, boyo!!"

Adopting a well-learned orcish accent, he grunted, "Gotta go, warboss wantz thiz!" indicating the orb.

The less-than-intelligent orc bought the lie. "Git goin' then, blackie!"

Goats continued to run, noticing the orb was almost too hot to hold...

When he ran smack-dab into two human men. That must be Garret! he thought.

"Elemental's friend!"

Kossak watched the two run out of the tent ans he grit his teeth in frustration.  Imbecilic greenskins!

He took off after the two escapees, though encased in his armor it never once hindered his movement as he began to catch up to them.  Shield still slung across his back he drew his sword from its scabbard and listened to it purr in anticipation of the blood it was about to drink.

The orb jumped out of Goats hand and hit the dirt where it quickly disappeared. Not a moment after the orb went out of sight, Dralcos stepped out of the brushes behind Garret and his friend Vu. "Thank you Goats, I've been tried to track for some time, fortunately you ran into him . . . literally." Walking over to Garret, Dralcos unbound him easily enough and asked, "So, hows your day been going so far?"

((Feck it.))

With a bellowing cry, Brogan leaps from the ground, wrapping his burly arms around the corpse, ignoring the blistering heat surrounding the smaller dwarf. Brogan grips Dominick's body over both arms and around the waist, and, though the corpse hisses in rage and draws the fire closer, its strength is no match for the elder warrior.

His already-burned face erupting in angry bubbles of cooked flesh, Brogan wrestles the corpse across the ground, pinning it an arm's length away from Sirilay and twisting its face into the blanket of pine-needle ashes covering the forest floor.

"Ye'll not be hurting anyone else any more! I'm sorry te do this to ye, but ye've brought it on yourself!"

With one arm still pinning the wriggling corpse by the neck, and flames still licking and darting across Brogan's skin, the dwarven cleric reaches for the axe at his belt. The corpse's eyes glow brighter, and the flames turn white hot around the pair. Finally choking from a lack of oxygen, his skin completely burned away, Brogan rolls away from the corpse, striking out with his axe as he does so.

The corpse lifts itself, its head hanging limply to the right from the brutal axebite left in the corpse's neck. Yet, despite the splintered vertebrate prickling from its throat, the corpse stands, stalking toward Brogan.

"Ye dinnae get it, do ye?" the corpse mutters. "I've become indestructible! Ye cannae kill me! Ye cannae take me down. Ye cannae beat me, or run from me. I will end ye! I AM INDESTRUCTIBLE!"

A curtain of flames descend upon the corpse, skimming over the ground and bathing Brogan in their heat.

* * *

"Hmph," Dominick grumbles, glancing a last lingering look at the distant shoreline. "I mislike me new eyes, I think." He turns and follows the massive wolf. "Tha' bein' said, I've never said no to a free meal. Lead on, Svenrir."

((P.S. Look for both Dominick and the corpse at Ragnarok! I'll be handing out Warpstone!)

((Yeah, fine job of that you did, dwarf... :P ))

A curtain of flames descend upon the corpse, skimming over the ground and bathing Brogan in their heat.

The pirate acts without thinking, leaping out from the treeline's sanctuary and taking two quick steps to approach the corpse from behind.

With a yell, she swings her cutlass, aiming at the small patch of tendons and skin that is all that holds the corpse's head on its neck.

"Brogan! Are ye a cleric or aren't ye?!"

Brogan hears the pirate's cry through a singed and smoky haze. He shakes his head, ignoring the throbbing pain of his charred flesh and stumbling to his feet.

Raising the starmetal Axe of Grimnir, the dwarf reaches both hands to the sky and in a voice of thunder, invokes his god.

"Clangeddin Silverbeard! I call upon your might to aid this servant in a holy quest agains' an unholy adversary! Let me axe strike true, and me strength ne'er fail! I call upon your might!"

A bolt of light shoots down from the sky, pushing the corpse's flames back and bathing Brogan in a new light. His skin, blistered and peeling, ripples as it repairs itself; his form gains stability as his strength returns. The light stays only a few seconds, yet after it dissapates the cleric's confident stance stays firm.

At that moment a man in shining mail rushes into the clearing, shield held before him. As he passes into the writhing flames they seem to flow around him like a river around a stone. "Hel take you!" the man shouts. He bashes into the corpse with his shield. As the corpse begins to fly back, the man brings his arm around and slashes at the corpse's chest.

(( Easy there horse-n-feffers, A little introductory would be better than coming in 'I'LL SAVE YOU!!!!!' spur of the moment. I noticed that you've 1 post so far and i'm guessing that was ur first. Please be considerate, and ask if you could join in anywhere, for future reference, or at least maybe not in such a long and well read RP.))

((He seems to be part of K'lar, so I'm sure Mariner or Dom prompted him to join.

Still, an intro would be nice...))
