My dad is thinking of getting a new couch, so for obvious reasons I will have lots of opencell on hand if that happens. What are some cool rock ideas?

I think velcro sticks to felt. I was toying with the idea of a belt with patches of velcro and felt patches on rocks to hold them on. Does that solve your problem?

Milo, you can get a fabric called "baby soft loop" - it's the loop side of Velcro on a soft backing, and you can cut it to whatever shape you need it. It's kinda expensive, but it would solve the scratchy corners problem.
