The event and event staff will not arrive until Friday, so arriving a day early would not work. You can go on Thursday and ask Spring Valley to rent you a camp site for full price, but that is about $30+ a person, I think.

I will be on site Friday at 9 AM. Troll Opens at 12 PM, but if you show at 9 am, I can get you set up with your space.

Vendors have not all confirmed yet, but there is at least one coming that I know of, and that is Mom (Botch's Wife) who sells Garb. We are hoping more show up this year.

Colbar, will you be merchanting? I saw in one of the Rag threads that you have merchants and was just wondering.

It would be awesome if more merchants would show up. Does anyone know how to get in touch with The Bored Housewife? I know she lives in Pittsburgh, but I lost her info. I know Mom will be there, but the more merchants, the better for all.

There is a vicious rumor that this years Crown War at Lothlorien will be a weekend campout event on 55 acres of private land, next to 200+ acres of woods.

This rumor also contains hearsay about a fat, pig roast.

We can discuss my scheduling abilities at this mythical camping event in October.

Less than Two Weeks away!!!

Lothlorien has decided on their bridge battle. Can you say... Mercedes Symbol?

Relic will be in the middle. Your team must hold the relic while having no Rezes. Lose the relic and your team gains rezes back. The Catch: Your team can only gain points if you are holding the relic. Use the circular track around the outside to gain advantage over the teams holding the middle.

The final Battle of Five Armies will be a massive Pentagon with five castle bases to defend your flag. We ARE going to have the center Rez ring again, but with a shaded canopy and hopefully water. A buzzer will sound ever 30 seconds, allowing rezed fighters to leave. You can stay and enjoy the shade longer, of course, but you can not leave until the next buzzer sounds.

Two of the Five Armies are most likely going to not be able to make it, so I am going to have to create two new armies like I did last year for the one missing army. There will still be five separate armies, just not sure how I will divide forces. I will have to see what the fighters look like at the time. If your realm/unit comes in large enough numbers, I may assign you an entire army to yourself!!

You absolutely can park your car in your campsite, Askarus. I would prefer people park their cars elsewhere after they have unloaded, but I will make exceptions when needed... or for just about anyone who asks. :-D

Unfortunately, due to high costs from Spring Valley, we need to charge each person the $20 entrance fee. I am hoping that by the third year we can offer a lesser fee for Saturday visitors.

I hope that this does not deter you and yours from making the trip. I hope to be able to see you there!

I know it's incredibly late notice, but at the moment, I'm the interim representative for Black Tower until things get sorted out. We're fielding between 2 and 5 fighters and at least 1 noncom. This is the first event any of us will have anything to do with in terms of hosting. What do you need from us? If you can please get back to me ASAP, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Galladorn is planning to host a Bardic Night on either Friday or Saturday night. While I don't want you to load up your car with it if you don't have to, it would be cool to see you play in the Bardic Competition.

I screwed up a batch of tallow soap and had to re-batch it, so I'm giving it away at five armies. All this means is that the soap's texture isn't as smooth. So if you are stinky and want to cleanse your body with the saponified fats of a dead animal, stop by Tent Talboffer and you can have a bar.

Quick update:

The castle walls are NOT looking too good. After the abuse they took last year at the hands of some Mundanes, and sitting up in my yard all the rest of the year (Man, I wish I could have afforded a storage room like Ravens of Vidar had it in for Ragnaroks), The weather has not been kind to the old thing.

It looks like the castle walls have just about had it and I do not want to risk them at an event with so many people. They would likely fall, possibly ON someone. One of them even fell apart during one of the scenarios LAST year. :-/

So while we will not have our old castle this year, the scenarios shall still have hard fighting, lots of fun, and more coherent instructions than last year. hehehe
