This summer, come relive this important piece of our history with us. Sparta is hosting another round of fighting, cooking and all night partying! Also, since I was stuck in the hospital last year, I didn't even get to witness how awesome this was, so do it for me if anything!

History
This event is going to concentrate on the Sicilian expedition which happened once the Peace of Nicias was broken by a bunch of Athenian jerk-offs who decided they could usurp Sparta from power by taking hold of Sicily and controlling the water ways - uncool

Shortly before the expedition, some loser named Alcibiades was accused of destroying religious statues, which made the Athenians, who cant get their priorities straight, hold a trial.

Alcibiades, decided to defect to Sparta, since they had much better beer and hotter women. He informed the Spartans about the Athenian plan to be complete dicks and use Sicily to be a base to conquer all of Italy.

The Event
We have several great battles planned, if you were there last year, then you know how tired you were after it was all said and done. Mac will be cooking his usual assortment of meat based delights. It will be an event for the ages!

After the fighting
No Sparta event would be complete without copious amounts of alcohol, join us for an after party at my NEW HOUSE for a bonfire and beers, a mere 3 miles or so from the battle! Crash space is available for all who need it, bring a sleeping bag, unless you have a fetish for sleeping on hardwood floors.

Carpool with us!
Sparta is planning to attend the Einherjar battle on the following day. We will have pleanty of crash space available for those that decide to spend the night partying with us. In the morning, you are welcome to carpool with us to a wonderful battle that is only around 2 hours away! How can you say no?

I would love nothing more than to do so darling, but that's 14-ish hours of driving for a weekend event... and not that I don't find it worthwhile, my husband thinks I'd be crazy/an idiot for doing it.

When you do so grom can you video tape it for me I would like to watch, do your best to kick **** one of them up a hill I would like to see that also.

Im cooking **** so you should come for that reason alone, as with anyother sparta meal planned by me its going to be huge pile of meat bread and some kind of pasta salad. So for a menu here it goes

Cheeseburgers stuffed with cheese and bacon ( depending on how drunk I was the night b4 I might wrap em in bacon too)
either cams pasta salad or I might do some stimpolini
Hot dogs
polish sausage
loaves of bread
also depending on how drunk I was the night b4 japs stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon.

Remeber afterwards there will be a party so make arrangements. We will also be going to the einhjar(sp) event the next day, so if you didnt get enough fighting on saturday you should stay and come up to einhjar and beat on them sunday.

I'm 1/3 of a performance group and i'm going to screw them a bit and skip our show that night just to come out, so no one within a 3 hour driving range has an excuse.

haha, i'm the only belly dancer, though our afterparties are known for our Pants Off Dance Offs and Doughnut&Orgy parties.
i'm a prop monkey and they do comedy and poetry and we're all awesome.

i can totally be convinced to dance for meat or mead, by the way.
and we'll hopefully have another belly dancer or two. and get Narunya to do a piece! her costumes kick arse and she's better at [as in good at to begin with] choreographies than me. it's about time the Pittsburgh belly dancers represent!
