That has not been my experience. I've seen vets have a larger stockpile of weapons and freely loan them out, but I generally don't see vets being cool with random kids picking up their gear off the field and fighting with it. I won't be a jerk if someone picks my stuff up, but I'll definitely be OOC and letting them know they should just use their own gear.
I tend to agree with you Aiden, but it also occurs to me that If I were to grab your weapon while you were dead, killed some folks, handed it back to you after, you wouldn't bat an eyelash.
The real fear is twofold:
Doode keeps your gear.
Doode chucks your gear someplace and you have to go around looking for it.
These are rare occurrences, most vets know better than to be that Doode.
