Hey guys, i have a bunch of questions. sorry.

     1. I plan to fly in to PIT, is there a bus/shuttle to get to the park?
     2. Do we need to pay to camp there? like for a camping spot? and how much is a tent?
     3. We are allowed to show up as soon as june 12 at 8am?
     4. What time does the final event end?
     5. food plan information/price?
     6. Do they sell weapons there? (i mean i would assume so...) and around how much?
     7. Do we need to remain in garb the entire time? (do i need a weeks worth of garb? i got like one outfit i always wear...)

Yep, spend a bit of time reading through the threads on this forum, and you'll get lots of stuff answered

If you plan on flying in, you'll need to make arrangements with someone to come get you from the airport, or rent a car to get to Cooper's Lake

You might want to try posting on Angaron's forums ( www.angaron.org ). They're the Pittsburgh group, and they may be able to hook you up with a ride from the airport to Cooper's Lake.

There will be others in your situation, so if you start a thread here asking for a ride, you might be able to find someone else in a similar situation with whom you can work something out.

There's a couple of threads on flying to Ragnarok - not to beat a dead horse, but if you search on that topic you'll find lots and lots of discussion on how to do it.  I know it's both feasible and affordable if you do it right, because I've been flying in for six years now.

Thanks, missed this the first time through.  The quiet / family area is considered to be the area around the barn, up to the crest of the hill.  That is quiet every weeknight, with the one exception for noise being the band last year, which we tried to warn people about well in advance.  Beyond that, if you are camped at the top of the hill, you are expected to be quiet after dark (10PM or so).  Any noise complaint against your camp up there will get a security detail asking you to shut down.

Also with the band (I assume that's the later running party you were mentioning?) we originally intended them to be in the amphitheater where the sound wouldn't have carried as well, but there was not sufficient electrical support for them down there, so we had to move them to the barn.

Had no idea about a quiet hour, we had a late running impromptu gladiator pits that ran rather late and are thinking about repeating it this year.

We got no complaints that I remember last year about your pit fights...  I mean, you could ask your crowd to not yell too much...  Also, you are kind of on the edge of the family zone, not IN it.

What makes you think there will only be 1?  Mace is delegating them out, but I think we have Tues and Thurs at the minimum.  He'll fill in the final details later.

With an ever growing population of dag folk, we REALLY need you kids to step up and give us a hand in keeping people safe...

Requirments

-6 person shifts to be divided into 2 man teams for 4 hours if the volunteers are available.

-over 21 preferable, over 18 a must

-cannot be intoxicated while on duty (I really shouldn't have to say this)

-2 of the 3 teams must be roaming at all times while the other is at the front gate

-night shifts should bring flashlights please

-have common sense, you are there to stroll around unless something goes wrong, if nothing goes wrong, you have no job!

-please no profanity or rude behavior while wearing a security tabbard, please conduct yourself in a manner that makes you seem polite and helpful to the very young through the very old as we have whole families at this event!

-If you find yourself in a situation where you will have to make a decision or take action, alert the main security team (Sparta, Forgotten ones, Ravens) you're just there to be on the lookout, making tough decisions is our job.

-AND MOST IMPORTANT:  Have fun guys!  This is a great opportunity to walk around and to meet everyone, help others at Ragnarok XXVI have a good time!

This sounds like the best time ever! where do I enlist?

We will have a sign up sheet by troll when you sign in this year and a security member there on Sunday to answer any questions you may have. If we don't have enough signups we will be going camp to camp in order to recruit volunteers.

People will attest to security being an awesome time. We're not hard asses we all want to have a good time, and with the right amount of volunteers that will be possilble!

The more people we have the more times we all get to fight, don't be shy, help us out!

Added the following paragraph to the initial post:

There is a meal plan available.  It will run 7 days, any two meals per day at $80.00,(this could change slightly due to unstable market prices.) Last year it was $79.50.  Their hours are 7am-9pm, and they are working on a staff for an 11:30pm-2:30am shift with a limited menu.  They are offering a full breakfast menu, and a large variety of lunch items such as hot and cold sandwiches, pizza, fresh salads and fruit.  Dinner will include the lunch items plus a special hot meal every day.  Midnight meals will be hoagies and pizza.  You can register for the meal plan inside 'the barn' attached to the camp store.

Comments and suggestions are welcomed and will be passed on to the food vendor.

If possible, can someone supply me with Lashiec's email? He told me last day of Rag last year to email him about being part of the regular security team after spending a lot of hours volunteering for two years in a row now. I had it but can't find it for the life of me.

The "regular" security team is pretty much what it is sir.  It is a few members of 3 units organizing roving security shifts.  Unless you're looking to take paperwork away from Askarus (and that wouldn't be very nice to the cripple) on Sunday when he gathers the list of volunteers...  Other than that, I think you may be mistaken as to what there is to do on the "regular" team.  We just make sure every roving shift is covered.  PLEASE volunteer again.  You are A HUGE help.

We'll do our best to have troll open by 9AM Sunday (give or take).  If you show up early and we're not quite ready yet, just have patience with us, and hang out around your car for a while.

Yeah, there was this oil-slick or orc-paint traveling through the stream as it passed through Mirkwood . . . it was kind of like "Holy s***, the Orcs are melting!"
