I can't speak for anyone officially, but I know that Plastidipped shields have passed out here in several realms for a good year or two, and weapons are I think being unofficially "play tested" so long as they're passing all other spec/hit tests.

Outside of that, I haven't yet heard of anything.

If I recall correctly, Guilder will allow any crossbow that tests out at 450 inch/pounds or lower. So far, nobody has shown up with a crossbow.

All PD weapons and shields can pass in Lothlorien as long as they pass normal hit tests.  We allow them at our events as well.

I like it! If you didn't have such a crappy NHL team, I'd move there :D

Made it to where if you hit someone in the head you take death. This rule only comes into effect when a new recruit joins and has problems with head shots. By problems I mean hitting someone in the head like 8 times during a 1v1

Wouldn't that promote head shots then, if you can get a kill from it? Or do you mean taking death when you hit someone in the head, because that has been a courtesy in the game for some time now.
We have allowed draw cuts if the weapon is "serrated" (this is pointless TBO, we only did it to promote making  "edgy" weapons. We still tell newbs that the shots don't count lol

Also, a few of us are grappling in armor, which is mostly leather out here. So far everyone who has done it has died from exploding organs and then bursts into flames. I blame metal knees and elbows :P

What he is saying is the person that is having problems with head shots is the one that dies, not the person getting hit.

Correct Sveinn! The new person will then start to realize head shots are bad when every fight he dies because he hit someone in the head. Especially in two man Valhalla

Do you fight around hills?

Make them sprint up and down the hill 5 times for every headshot, it'll make them to tired to swing that high.

I want to know more about the exploding organs and bursting into flames. Do the organs all explode at once, or is there an accelerating sequence? Does the bursting into flames always follow the organ explosion, or can it sometimes precede it?

It's for SCIENCE!

It's sequential, starting in the liver and working it's way out and up to the brain and the skin.
Like I said, it's GOTTA be the metal knees and elbows. I mean they are so dangerous that they even cause people grappling in leather armor over a thousand miles away to explode.

So far, I have blowed up 5 times :P

What is the aprox # draw weight for that? I don't quite understand the difference.

It's a formula. Power stroke (distance the string travels - NOT draw length) x bow weight. As long as the product of the two is less than 450, it passes. So you could have 37.5# with 12" power stroke, 45# with 10" power stroke, 50# with 9" power stroke, etc.

It's about equivalent to the force of a 35# bow at half draw.

Ok now that makes sense. Well I guess that I'll have to look into this a bit more, I was never able to find a 35# crossbow for sale or a good way to make one.

My old (B-game, not Dag) realm in the North allowed some rules changes that I imagine would be a mite rough for the majority of Dag currently. The two that come to mind most are allowing the use of throws while grappling and ability for anyone to grapple at any time regardless of armor.

Oh, and nobody ever got hurt beyond a few bruises, despite this. Even when we were grappling in--hold on to your hats, folks--maille.
