Because they are ridiculously ineffective.  The whole thing turns into a giant sail when you swing it and you have to keep it from wanting to turn mid swing and flagging someone.  Plus, the time it takes to swing them, a simple blue can already hit you.  Save the amine stuff for a larp.

and 2. that swords isn't from an anime, its the the buster sword/blade from the monster hunter series.

Monster hunter is one of my favorite games and i make weird weapons but even i don't wanna see any stupid huge crazylookin swords from that game in dag. unless u can make the anvil on a stick  Juggernaut... bird head on a stick would be pretty funny too ... but just dont do it

Vors of maeth kinda has a weather like that.... its multiple weapons put together that is like 12 feet tall... i dont have a pic, so you will have to ask him..... but its not dag legal, just fun to look at... and no matter how good you are with weapons, that weapon would be ineffective unless you were a greek god...... too much weight to swing, too big of a weapon to twirl around..... it would have to be a weapon just for sh*ts and giggles... like vors' weapon.

I feel that I should clarify that I was talking about swords when I mentioned turning into a sail, not the hammers.

actually my greatsword doesn't turn flat when swung....anymore. it used to because the handle was too short, but i lengthened it and now it stays blade edge when swung so......

i can really only think of 3 ways to build a sword that big and make it strong and safe as possible for dag.  if it were me, i would have made it a wavy blade so its more eye catching

They are pretty good as far as intimidation goes. New people are pretty scared of em.

Orvera is referring to my Final Fantasy Advent Children Buster Sword. Its only 6 1/2 feet tall, so yeah, close to 12 haha. But yeah, i built it for the pure reason of wanting to make it possible with foamsmithing. Theres a pic of it all put together on the WTF Weapons topic, none of it taken apart yet cause i'm lazy and i dont have it at school with me.

As for Sokka's sword, its nothing more than a common chinese Jian made with space metal. its basically what anyone makes when they have a double sided longsword with a stabby. anything beyond that is just detail which can be done with plastidip. no one would likely notice Sokka's sword placed next to any other dag longsword

Actually that would be really good photoshop if it was in fact photoshop. Just look at the shadows in the picture, they fit perfectly in with the natural picture, thats pretty good if it is work if it is in fact photoshop.
