Weapon Weight Scale?
« on: February 02, 2011, 01:26:01 pm »
I've been doing a lot of weapon building for other people and they are turning pretty good. The problem I'm having is I don't have any way to weigh these weapons to make sure they pass successfully. My question is where could I get a good scale at a decent price?

I bought an electronic fish scale at wally world. I can use it to measure the draw for bows and with a small cord looped around the pommel of a weapon you can weigh it while it hangs.

Make sure you get an electronic scale. Spring-operated scales (which most cheap non-electronic scales are) are very inaccurate. An electronic scale will cost about $20.

Yeah, just reiterating what has been said.
Fish scale is between $5-$20 bucks. Low end price is for a spring loaded one, higher end is for a digital. Found in the sporting goods section at Walmart.
Kitchen Fruit scale is between $10-$30. Low end is a CRAPPY spring scale, dont get it. The higher end is for a digital fruit scale. Actually about $27 or so. Worth every penny. Found in kitchen wares with knives and such.

Less than $35 and you got two scales that can measure the weights in our game that you can get at the same time.

If you're going to check your own weapons, then go ahead and get a GOOD scale, or decent at least. If you can't do that, then don't nit pick over weight.
