I'm starting a Microbiology Ph. D. program at Michigan state university. I got a fellowship to do a laboratory rotation this summer and I get to work with hyperthermophilic iron reducing bacteria. This fall I get to work with bacteria that produce conductive carbon nanowire pili!

I hope to use my degree to start some sort of energy focused company, either biofuels or bacteria batteries, depends quite a bit on the science when I graduate and what I've learned. Teaching is also an option, or if I don't want to do either of those things, staff or government scientist somewhere cushy sounds good to me

That said, working for U of M's biology department, prepping undergraduate biology labs, and currently banging my head against a wall, trying to troubleshoot an experiment involving S. aureus biofilms in a lab in which I'm volunteering.

Dont do it go to college become a doctor or a lawyer or something, but if you are deadset on becoming a grunt for the rest of your life its called an apprentice not an intern. same thing yes interns make money when they are done apprentices still make **** when they are done. you want to go in to local shops and ask if they need a helper or a laborer and then pay the **** attention to what the journeymen are doing.

Interdisciplinary Studies (split between Peace and Justice Studies, Philosophy, and Sociology) and Theater.  Good stuff. Yo, if it looks cool to you, CPT is pretty badly underfunded this fiscal year.  Just sayin'...

In addition to my summer studies (grad school for medieval history PhD) I'm now putting in half days 5 days a week on the pottery wheel. I'm trying to build up enough stock to be able to merchant at events again, both historically inspired pieces and a spread of fantasy / modern tableware. Almost everything I make is for eating off of - I love making art that can also be used, and run through the dishwasher (I haven't eaten off of plates that weren't hand made since I moved out of my parents' house).

I do a lot of minerals and natural formulas. I cater to people looking for natural, hypoallergenic, and vegan products. Leave out the nasty cheap fillers and just use the good stuff.

Right now I'm suppling small boutiques and building capital and infrastructure for a full online shop. Until then I'm using etsy to get things rolling. Excuse the shameless plug
