Fabric Sales Megathread
Ilsa Starling:
Renamed once and for all, dagnabit. Post new sales and stuff as you find 'em! I'll be doing that, instead of modifying the post below.

June 19: I noticed today that Fabric.com has my favorite medium and lightweight linens on clearance. Hurrah! They also have a 30% off all clearance items coupon (CLEAR511) running until the 6th of June. Score! If you buy any of the linen fabrics that are on clearance, this can get you lightweight stuff at $5/yard, and gorgeous medium-weight linen at $6.70. Yeah. 100% linen. You can't get that price anywhere else.
Don't be fooled by the clearance section you're linked to from the Fabric.com main page-- the coupon applies to any fabric with the pink 'clearance' tag listed under it, anywhere on the site. The 'Lightweight Euro Linens' that are on sale are listed as $7.18/yard, but with the additional 30% off entered at checkout, they're $5.02. The medium Euros are a bit more expensive, but they drape better and are easier to work with (less fraying and wrinkling).
I've bought a ton of linen from this site this year, and I'm pleased with it all. The only warnings I have are that the very light-colored lightweight linens tend to be kind of sheer, and the red lightweight Euro linen has a dye abnormality that makes it turn slightly purple when exposed to heat, but fades away as it cools. Colors tend to be a bit brighter in real life than they look online, too.
Because you're not a fool, of course you will buy $35 worth of fabric and get the free shipping offer as well!
Aaand I'm totally stocking up.

UPDATE. 5/19/11: Hmph. I come home from Rag and find out that there's ANOTHER sale on-- some of the medium and lightweight Euro linens are now $4.49 a yard, BEFORE the 15% off 'BRTH11A' coupon.
Medium weight linens for $3.80 a yard? Oh heck yeah.
Look for the $4.49/yard ones.
Some of the simple Medium Weight Linens are $5.99/yard, $5.09 after the coupon. Hankyweight (read: very, very light) linens are also on sale for the same price.
Their medium-ish European linens, which have some fun colors and are usually $12/yard have select colors right now for $6.49/yard. After the coupon, that's a nice $5.51/yard.
Order more than $35 total, get free shipping.
Remember, the light-colored lightweight ones tend to be a bit sheer, and colors on this site are often brighter in reality than they appear online. Preshrink your linen, yadda yadda.
But seriously. Sturdy, breathable linen fabric for less than $5/yard? That's the same price as cotton bottomweight from Joann, and it's a much higher quality.

Thanks for the heads up, Ilsa.
