i am wearing leather armor,

basically Bracers, Greaves and a breast blate type thing um here is the best thing i could find as a picture looking quick, this is mostly for the breat plate (which would be abit longer but its close). although the clothing style is similar, my cloak wraps all the way arund and has a deeper hood, and of coarse i don't have a bow on me replace it with a viking age sword. hope this helps.

Kensi I get the message. I am going to say this now so you all know a little more of what to expect from Jester. Jester is a Kyūbi no Kitsune or Nine-tailed-fox (pure blood, unlike me a half-breed). His abilities include shape shifting (as made clear by the fact that Leon sees him in human form), possession, control of fire, and his natural senses, srength and speed. When he reveals his true form his fur is a white color and his eyes are yellow. If you think that is godmoding or overpowered let me know (some tales actualy make them much more powerful).

Just because something is more powerful then your character does not mean you are not godmodding. If people continue in this direction I find the roleplaying on the boards heading in a bad direction. I don't want to see threads requiring huge rule lists stating what is and isn't allowed and requiring profiles to be posted before you can join to establish exactlly what your character is capable of before hand.
How about just playing a regular person? No powers or alternate forms or divine blood, just a man with a sword.

I agree with Cas, but thanks for letting me know. Now, how you choose to use those powers is the part where I will question. Why do you have them? Isn't it funner to talk and negotiate your way through situations rather than wave some magic wand and be done with it?

I will say this once, the powers are not what I disagree with. It is WHY you want them.

Randern, that'd be studded leather from the looks of it, mate. Which is NOT a breast plate. A breast plate is made out of a metal of some sort, or hardened leather, to cover one's breasts. Do a search on actual armor terminology. I wouldn't wear armor if you have no idea about armor in the first place.

I wear all my armor in RP's just as I wear it in actual Dagorhir fighting. I know my armor well, and what it can withstand. I pray you don't make the assumption that studded leather can stop an arrow; because it sure as hell can't. Not even my armor can stop a good arrow. Keep that in mind while traveling through Ithilien.

I will admit, that looks really cool for garb and gear. It'd fit right in in Ithilien. Not the same color pattern, but it'd look the part from a distance.

k your right i haven't done as much homework on leather armor as i should, and i do not have armor yet, and i was looking thru the internet for pictures, i found this one and thought it looked better then the random fantasy ****, or the leather that needed chain mail beneath it. My character is a wanderer and needs relatively travel-able armor, that is still good. So in your opinion, would a hard leather studded piece be better for me. Or would a leather breastplate be better.

I cannot say, that is all up to personal opinion. A breastplate would make it seem like you're actually wearing prominent armor, and someone miht confuse you for a professional soldier. Stick with the studded. It wors for a weathered traveler, like you said.

Current Timelines:

Defense of Ithilien - Morning (For everyone)
City of Skulls - Midnight (Midnight prior to DOI's morning)
Invasion of Rokugan - Leon and Jester(Current Time - Midday)
- Kiyomori Island (we are jumping ahead to give others time to catch up.)

So, right now the only ones who are up to speed are Jester and Leon. Everyone else needs to catch up. Those in DOI, begine gathering together and moving to whatever destination you are going to.

City of Skulls, you guys do what yall have to. That thread is getting good.

Invasion of Rokugan: Jester, we will be speeding up the travel so that you can reach the capital quickly. Also, when Jester reaches the capital that is when everyone should be caught up. I plan on making that happen tonight.

This Sunday through I am leaving town to be a camp counselor for a week and will not have access to the boards. So Saturday night is the last time to post anything for a week. I do not want this to die just yet, so please formulate your plans, speculate here on this thread, and just be ready for s*** to get real when I get back. Thanks guys, this tale we weave is turning out to be quite interesting.

Jester Prefers not to use his powers. When he was younger he would have, but age has brought him wisdom. Now he prefers to do things with as little distruction as posible.

The north continues to experience an unprecedented alliance of once sworn enemies. Nations are banding together, from the brutal tribesmen to the civilized cultures a banner is being held high unlike ever before. A name has been whispered in Taverns and back alleys, "Raizo....Raizo...." The name has become salvation for some, anathema for others. This Raizo has effectively taken the north. All spies that enter there never return. Yet one spy does return to his lord and proclaims large masses of soldiers coming south. This spy died later that night....

DoI thread: I don't actually require sleep. But comfy beds are comfy beds, and so sleeping in them is pretty much required of me. When I find out that I only slept in said comfy bed for a few hours, I'll probably turn VERY cranky.

Within the small contingent of 'Norman' Knights in Ithilien, there are those of who can't keep their tongues in their heads where they belong. During their feasting with the rangers, a few drank too much and began spewing all sorts of rumors and tales from their homeland. More than a few were about Jack, but most of which were about Duncan, their temporary commander...

Many of them do not like serving under him, since he resigned from the Templar Order* almost a decade ago, and should have dropped his title of knight, except for the King's insistance that he keep it. A fact that has driven a wedge between the king and their order as of late. They believe him to be fair and capable, but since he is not of noble birth, they look down upon him...If any thought they could best him, they would most likely try to remove him...

There are also other more 'fanciful' stories circulating about him. That he has fought giant-men and stole their women from them; that he learned to fight mages from one of their own; That his ax is alive, most likely demonic, and thirsts for the blood of mortals; and even that years ago he sold his soul to a daemon, and while possessed by its power, slaughtered no less than two dozen families on the far edge of the Kingdom! Knight-Commander Stephen promptly removed the men in question from the feast and ordered the drunk men back to their lodgings, so soon as he heard of their ramblings...

*No relation to the historic Templar order. Their name comes from the French phrase: Ordre du Templiers, meaning 'Order (of those) of the Temple'. They are the only sizable Christian knightly order, in the predominately 'Pagan' kingdom.

A rumor for the RP betwixt Rainen and Jack/ Duncan. We're having a 'clash of cultures' thing going on, at the same time that our characters get to know each other... There's some interesting cultural differences that should make people laugh coming up. Well we laughed pretty good about them!

So, I would appreciate it if you ask to post rumors again. Now, if you wish to speculate on what certain things mean then be my guest please do so. Once again, sorry if I came off as rude, that was not my intention.

Also, guys this is it. I am leaving in the morn and gotta get to bed here pretty soon. As of now (9pm central, 10pm eastern, 7pm pacific) the threads Invasion of Rokugan, Defense of Ithilien, and City of Skulls are officially closed until July 15th, 2011. You may post in this thread and speculate what is happening but the story shouldn't progress much. This is only so that something off the wall doesn't happen in my absence (also because I don't feel like reading mountains of text when I get back.). So, guys I will be back. It has been awesome and I feel the fun is just beginning.

Like I said, I'm thinking about the HOW to do it, and have it make sense, without just killing off the Dragonwalker and making a new persona. Making a Chaos Warrior just your average warrior isn't exactly something that I know about off the top of my head.

As for the sleep thing, I already don't require normal sleep. Or, rather, IRL I don't sleep all that much because of the kids, and because I think I have insomnia or something...I dunno, I just can't seem to sleep more than a few hours a night. I keep waking up for no reason, and then I can't seem to take a nap when the kids do. So, using a part of myself as a part of my character (I can run on little to no sleep, but I'm REALLY cranky when I first realize that I got out of my comfy bed before I wanted to) is what I was doing.

Now that I think about it, I need to figure out a better explanation as to the why, for my persona. Magic vessel doesn't really explain a whole lot....

I could think of several ways, one that immediately comes to mind is the Chaos Gods stripping you of "impure" powers and magics. Another could be simply for the purpose of chaos, the powers being removed specifically to cause an upset in order. Plus, IIRC you killed the dragons that made you, that being the case their magic could simply start fading after their deaths.
If you are able to consistantly able to get sleep, I doubt you have insomnia, though I am not a doctor. If you regularly get X hours of sleep though, that is what I would call normal sleep. Perhaps you should see a sleep specialist some time though to get that looked into.
And yeah, someone simply stating "it's magic" is usually regarded as a cop out.

Gorbag, I would like to say well played to you a second time. Throwing in the reference towards Kossak's son's death being avenged definably threw a curve ball at Sveinn. Of coarse Chaos lord are prone to differences in views and sometimes have conflict with each other. Way to play off one of the faults of Chaos followers. One of my favorites to pick on (and I only do it for those who otherwise use good grammar) is the that/which distinction. "That" is used to clarify a noun, while "which" is used to explain it. "Which" is also used with a comma, while "that" is not. That's a good way to remember when to use which - if there's a pause, add a comma and use "which." If there's no pause, use "that."

Examples:

He grabbed the sword that the ruffian had dropped.

That sort of thing always led to philosophical bar fights, which always ended up with him waking up in jail with a hangover.
