I can't imagine how people are pronouncing my name in their heads...

and is Jari pronounced Yari?

Sure is. But everyone knows me so only some people get it wrong. And I have gotten good at correcting them.

As far as your name goes I have always been pronouncing it jemps with a very soft "d" at the front. If that's right it makes sense, otherwise I am epic fail and will just go back to watching the messer video.

That's perfect. I lived in Haiti for a year, and that's how the locals spelled and pronounced my name: James. I also used be part of a table top wargame group. At competitions, we'd all try to pronounce each other's forum names and fail miserably. I've heard D-Jemps, DJ Jazzy Jemps and a few others.

You would think... but I've been saying AIR-uh-kiss in my mind this whole time. It's the American tendency to always place the accent stress on the first syllable of a word.

From what I've read, my name (Aodhfin) is the more modernized version of Aedfinn. Either way, the correct (from what I've read) pronunciation would be "Ee-fin". However, right from the start, I thought it was pronounced "A-fin". Sadly, once I discovered my error, it'd already been about 6 months. So my name was already pretty much set.

For having a nice, short, simple name i've got like, 3 common pronunciations. Every way you could mispronounce the vowels from Ray-vus to R(a as in apple)-vis. Technically it's Rah-vus but i've given up caring, i'm just flattered i've progressed from "Ey' yo tall dude with the hair!"
