So I was able to stop giggling at the Wings vs. Buffalo game long enough to come post this.

Also gonna either DVR or skip the All-Star game this year. I've got a meeting for Gates of Summer scheduled that day, so I'll probably miss it. Gonna at least try and watch the Skills competition - maybe Jimmy and Brian Elliot will try to pull the fastest goalie competition like Thomas did last year

I didn't see the hit on Fedotenko, I saw the ticker at the bottom of the screen during the Wings game last night (19 in a row at home! WOO!) though. I'll probably check out the replay of the hit sometime when I get the chance.

Not to keen on the chop block to Filppula's knees during OT last night, but we got better revenge on their stars only getting in one goal in the shootout against our AHL goalie. I'll take that over a suspension on a non-injury inducing hit anyday.

Brendan Shanahan, I am dissapoint. The guy has a concussion. The fact that Moore chicken-winged at the end makes it even more obvious that Moore intended to make contact.

**** YEAH - Detroit with 20 straight wins. Like a BOSS baby!

Still won't have Howard back until probably Friday against Nashville.. but MacDonald has been legit for us once he got into a groove and built up some confidence. Definitely a better option than Conklin. I don't know what his problem has been. He blew his load against Colorado with the shutout and has been crap ever since.

Helmer should be back by game 3 of the first round, which will be fantastic. I think we'll finish in 5th, but it depends on our last game against Chicago and Nashville's final game vs Colorado. If we can win and they lose in regulation - we might pop back up ahead of them.

In all fairness, Boston won the cup last year with a piss poor powerplay, so the opportunity is there. Detroit, unlike Boston however, has a limited physical presence to make up for the lack of a good powerplay unit.

Once Pavel starts lighting the lamp, and Franzen realizes it's the playoffs then we ought to be better set.

Clowe makes a play on the puck FROM THE BENCH... and no call. Breaks up a breakaway for Stoll on the powerplay. Afterward, he even denied doing it while being showed the footage

He's an ass, and if I were a Kings fan I'd be mad as hell that they wound up getting the win in OT after a cheap stunt like that.

But why fine Torts -more- than Laviolette? Tortorella didn't incite a mass riot, or break sticks and flip out and delay the game. He just spoke up -afterward- about what he saw as a double standard. He wasn't accusing the NHL of ****ty refereeing (which is usually why they fine you)

If I were Torts, I would be directing my anger at the NHL now though. First you fine a guy for speaking his mind, and then not a peep about Orpik's hit anyway.

That and I have personal hatred for the pens that stems back from the first winter classic, sabres vs pens, the whole time NBC (Nothing But Crosby) kept playing up Crosby Vs Miller the whole game.
