Where's the Calvary?
Durkha Beor:
I've been thinking about the many forces we represent in Dag, but where are the mounted forces? Knights on horse back would be a great addition to the fighting tactics we currently have at our disposal. I can see it at Rag' next year - the sun rises over the trees and out of the woods emerges a mounted unit... But how?
Remember that horsey head you used to ride when you we're 4? Go ahead and laugh...
Somehow we need to expand on that idea to create a "horse". There would have to have rules for safe use and construction as well as, "if I rear my horse to crush you", is that the same as a red? Or, "I struck your horse twice with a blue, it's dead" And there would be Lances! Same as a spear, I guess.
Let hear your ideas!
Rainen:
Riding those horse headed staves into battle would be silly and offer no real advantage in Dagorhir combat as riding a horse in say... medieval Europe would of.
Typically for Dagorhir 'cavalry' battle; the 'infantry' get on their knees and move as so, and the 'cavalry' stay standing. This gives the infantry a sluggish pace and the cavalry can run as if their invisible horses were running.
Or shall I get some halves of coconuts and clatter them together? (j.k)

Just my addition to Jack and Rainebow not-so-bright.
