Call for Clarity rule
Tooka the Gangly Goblin:
Javelins are an archer's worst nightmare. (Especially the super lights like Alric sells).
Tyrieal Firebrand:
I just don't like when an archer shoots at me and then calls me dead without looking at me. At gates I had a lot of instances where an archer would shoot and then look away form me and yell dead, only for me to take a hit to the arm or leg. I would just yell back where it hit and keep fighting.
There are a lot of instances where I experience archers getting pissed when they hit your garb as your running. When you yell garb they just think your cheating. I take my hits as I feel them, and if I don't notice they hit me, I take the archers call.
Eastland:
Some people are jerks.
Jack Stewart III:
Thus is the internet Eastland, welcome!
Magnus:
Here's what I do:
If an archer misses me, and I know he or she missed me, and the archer calls death or calls a hit, I assume it refers to someone else and ignore it, much as I would ignore a referee whistle on the next field over when I'm playing rugby. Similarly, if I know that I got hit in the arm and an archer calls me dead, I take the arm, and assume the "dead" call referred to someone else.
If, on the other hand, I don't notice the arrow, I'll respect the archer's call. And then the next chance I get, I will stab him or her in the same spot I got shot (except the head, obviously).
The issue is, indeed, one of "clarity": if I know clearly where I got hit, or if I got hit at all, there is no need for the archer to clarify; conversely, if I don't notice anything but the archer clearly does, then the archer is right to provide clarity.
