Selling my $20 garb contest entry for... $20!
« on: June 26, 2012, 10:13:01 pm »
Hello guys, Thrud here, last month I made a an outfit for the $20 garb contest and well, I'm deciding to sell it for $20 plus shipping to someone who wants it or needs it.

It comes with everything pictured except the leggings and the boots. In other words, you get the tunic, the cowl, the headband, and the sash.

It is made out of a linen-like material that feels really comfortable and good quality that I was really lucky to have found for my entry and the garb is made to give a layered look without the extra bulk idea for the summer.

As for the sizing, I'm kind of taller than the average woman at just shy of 6'0" and the tunic is made to be a bit lose so it should fit any medium-sized woman just fine.

Hopefully there is someone interested.

Thrud, that whole outfit looks like it is in a color that was not allowed on the field at Rag this year. The photos could be misrepresenting the color, but if it is anything resembling hot pink, it will not be considered acceptable garb at national events.

Yeah, it is the photo misrepresenting the color, it is not hotpink, rather, it is red. I'll post a better one.

Here: Look, it is not hotpink, it's red my camera just hates me... I don't know if you can still tell from it, but I assure you it is not hot pink. I would never make garb in hot pink. I know better than that!

It could also be your monitor too.

If anyone does not believe me, I can send them a little swatch of fabric which looks much better in real life.

I am very much aware. However, jerks like to use this argument to justify screaming magenta and bubblegum pink fabrics, which are not "period" pinks.

Glad to hear that this is not the pink that it looks in the picture. Good luck with the selling!

Thanks Stell, yes, if it was hotpink, then I'm sure when I entered the contest with it, I would probably not have scored as high as I did.

Heck, I probably would have been disqualified...
