July Garb Challenge - Feminize Your Tunic!
Hosted by Axe & Arrow
Your mission, should you choose to accept: Illustrate, with photos and helpful text, your best attempt at wearing a simple tunic or tunic gown in a way that enhances the female form.
We're looking for curves. We're looking for alluring lines. We're looking for sexiness. We're looking to debunk the claim that a tunic or tunic dress is simply too ugly and sacklike for the attractive Dagorhir woman to consider. And we want to know how you did it.
The challenge will run from July 1 - 31. You will have until midnight EST on the 31st to submit your entry on this thread. Winners will be announced August 3rd
Judges and prizes
Judges for this challenge will be Rap (Head garb-checker for Rag), Silk (Queen of tasteful garb for busty women), and Stell (me.)
Prizes to be announced at a later date. (Tentative prizes - 6 modular arrowheads, a drop spindle and wool roving, and 2 packs of apron-dress rings. Please PM if you have something better to offer!)
The Rules:
1. Purchased garb and accessories are allowed. You do not have to make everything yourself.
2. You must use a tunic or simple gown as your base layer. For the purposes of this challenge, I ask that seriously fitted gowns employing princess seams not be used.
3. Modifications and accessories must fit within a pre-renaissance fantasy setting. This means, in short, that slapping a corset over a tunic or gown will not be accepted.
Judging and Scoring
Judges will be looking at 3 things:
"Dagorhir period" appropriateness. Do you look like you could pass for an extra in a medieval fantasy movie?
Creativity and Practicality. How ingeniously did you use what you had available to accomplish your goal? How well will your entry hold up to the rigors of fighting and nightlife?
Write-up. How useful would your process be to real new girls? How did you acquire your materials and skills? What compromises did you make? A simple fix that's accompanied by great resources could beat a stunning kit with no write-up.
To enter, copy and paste this form into a new reply and fill it out.

FAQ:
I'm a guy. Can I enter?
Sure. Either find yourself a female model, or hop on the Dragorhir wagon. We won't discriminate based on sex.
Do I have to make something new?
No. If you already have a qualifying kit, go ahead and submit existing photos. We'd love to hear why you made your choices, and how they work for you.
More questions and details will be added as the specifics get ironed out.
Stellaria:
Discussion is allowed in this thread. I'll post the official entry thread once July hits. Ask questions and stuff!
Thrud:
So, let me get this straight, this challenge it about making garb for the "girly girls" as opposed to say... the tomboys like me that don't care whether or not I have a feminine-looking tunic.
Stellaria:
Yes. Actual GARB options for the tank-top and corset set.
Silk:
I smell Cholis on the horizon!
