GOLF CARTS RUIN MY MEDIEVAL EXPERIENCE!  >:(

Let's all pony up the dough for horses next year. That way all the medics and security and organizers can hoof it in style.

Hay, now that sounds like a whinnying idea. Maybe we should start with just a few horses, so that we can rein in any trouble before it goes mustang.

It'll be neat to see the medics in need of each other when one of them freaks out.  And I think the smell of horse **** all over the place will add to my medieval experience.

~does not like horses.

If I got to ride a horse, I'd volunteer all week long.

horses are random creatures, and usually require people of a more dominant mindset than what I've seen that volunteer for medics and such.

with a bit of decoration and the carts could look like magic powered carriages, which is what people of the period would think that they are if they saw such modern conveniences in their time

They don't exactly scare me because I've been taught how to approach them without spooking them, but I've got a feeling that there will be plenty of people who don't know that, and will be drunk a lot.

And seriously, **** horses.  I suppose that I can't really do the whole "they're obsolete" rant here, but dammit, they're smelly, unpredictable, and totally capable of killing people if they decide to.  The only good thing about horses is that you can eat them.

And they can get you home while drunk without killing anyone, if your horse is steady, thrustworthy, and knows her way.

This thread really got off-track, let's get it back in the saddle again.  To those who say "neigh", a minor thought:  Imagine all the fun the stick-jockeys would have!

Great idea!  To start RWC on Thursday, we could kill one and then sit around and beat it for a few hours.

And I think the smell of horse **** all over the place...

Not that bad, actually. It's basically just mulched grass, and smells fresher than most of the Rag attendees do by the end of the week.

Horse **** smells awful, just like most of Ragnarok.  Let's not ad more varied scents of **** to the already omnipresent nerd flavored scent of ****.
