Grip weighting question

Uhm...:
I built my first blue from the Eryndor tutorial, and just realized I'm 4 oz short of passing weight. I'd prefer not to tear off the pommel to add weight to the core, so would it be possible to add weight to the grip by wrapping a bungee cord around it?

A bungee cord doesn't weigh enough.  Use roughly 8 gauge copper wire.  Even that might not be good enough depending on your core and how thick it is.

i'd use gorilla tape on the handle and/or flat of the blade to bring it up to weight

If it's a PVC core, you can buy a big heavy bolt, wrap it in a layer or two of tape to make it fit snugly into the PVC, and shove it into the bottom of the handle.

I might do that with the bolt, but I don't really want to rip the pommel off. I'm going to try it with wire first, but if it doesn't work I can redo the pommel.
