Read up, folks.

Olezka:
Doesn't this kinda cross the line the same way modern logos and modern clothes do? If it resembles something modern doesn't it automatically get frowned upon? Plus aren't we shooting to look like dark ages Europe and lord of the rings?

How does fighting in a bra make sense or look like those things at all? Who would've done that? And those people back then probably would have been easily killed and forgotten, but unfortunately for the people in dagorhir that put forth the correct level of effort, despite good or bad income, are stuck constantly fighting and associating with people who look for loopholes to be lazy and look like crap.

This is supposed to a special interest hobby/game. At least try to give a crap about it. Maybe it's time to divide between the effort and effortless and start seperate games.

Rafiq's Slightly Used Camels:
I bet when women had to fight they wore some sort of bust support like a bra. I bet they also wore a tunic or dress over it too because they were adults and realized that going out in just a bra is ****ing dumb.

Stellaria:
I don't get what the big deal is. Given the styles of women's dress from that time period, it would make sense that the larger-busted ladies would want to have something to support the girls under their fairly form-fitting gowns. This was pre-corset. Yes, it's pretty cool that they finally found something. What is also cool is that NOBODY KNEW ABOUT THEM because there are NO surviving artist's depictions of Medieval bras, presumably because they were an "unseen" garment. Unseen garments change nothing for our garb standards - just means that the busty ladies in our game that are concerned about period-correctness have an easily-available option for breast support. Yay boobs!

Brennos:
This Garb Nazi thing is getting out of hand. This article is describing archaeological discoveries about a poorly understood aspect of pre-modern dress and you're giving me **** about garb standards? Head. Out of ass. Now.

Believe it or not there are people who are interested in the parts of their garb that you can't see. I like having a set of period underwear around. I am attempting to share information with other people who would like to improve their garb or who are just interested in medieval underpants. When you're giving people **** for sharing period archaeological information then something has gone wrong with this whole garb improvement thing.

And if someone does take this and use it to make a period correct bra and fight in it? GOOD FOR THEM. The historical record determines what is period, not you. I have this much sympathy for complaints that the actual middle ages are ruining your medieval experience.
