Characterization pieces

Ingvar the Ruthless:
Having plenty of passing garb and some experience sewing, I am now looking to start taking my overall look from generic passing [think sweatpants and tunic] into something a little more detailed. I am asking any one of you here that has a "character showpiece", anything that your character carries or wears that helps personalize your look to show it off so I can have a little inspiration. It doesn't matter if you made or bought it, or even what type of character you play, I just would like to see some trinkets and doo-dads.

Nova3:
Mine is easy; Elf ears, jewelry and a particular hairstyle/makeup

The ears are obvious, I'm an elf, these make me look like an elf

Jewelry; I have a particular head piece that I wear during pretty time that I got way many years ago at a renfest that has always been Eau de'Elf to me

Hairstyle; Elves braid that ****, so I do too. I pull a portion of hair by my temple in front of my ears, partially for effect and partially to disguise where the ears are glued to my skin. I wear make up because elves is pretty and refined and Nova's like that sort of stuff. I keep the make up simple and fresh and mostly to even out my skintone even more (I love my freckles but I don't think elves are known for being freckled).

So yeah, what kind of accessories does your persona wear? What kind of jewelry would that kind of character wear? Quiet understated jewelry, or more of a show off your wealth type? Any prosthetics? I'm a fan of big "statement" necklaces on men. Is there a symbol that's particularly important to your character? Get a big necklace version of it. Wear a sweet leather headband. Get some **** to hang off of your belt, like an eating knife, pouch or other dangly bits. I have my unit symbols/honors on my belt as well as a pouch and a bauble of some sort.

How does your character walk/hold himself? Swaggering and proud? Graceful and deadly? Slinking and shifty? I try to walk better when I'm wearing pretty time elf garb, elves don't slouch.

Trim is also an excellent way to spice up the garb itself.

btw I love characterization

Fel:
I've recently started doing this and personally i think the small accents are what can make it.

Since i've joined mirkwood i've wanted to add a bit more elegant and elf inspiration feel to things.  It's a very small start but my first pair of garb leggings are Wrap pants, black with white trim.  I added a flap down the front and two on my but, black fabric with white trim.

The whole addition took half an hour and i think made the pants look SO much better and unique.

Leaf of Redwater:
I just added a set of three keys. A character of mine is a city guard, so guardhouse, handcuffs, home.

Pouches are a good start, too.

Proper shoes make any kit 20% better.

Fayne Erving:
I"ll second the shoes, with the addendum that I simply cannot find a pair of period shoes that I enjoy fighting in. They either give me blisters, can't grip the ground, or are too ill-fitted. I wear those toe shoes and swear by them. I wear a nice pair of mocaissins when I'm roaming about feasts or parties.

As for characterization, I've commisioned my unit in the form of a contest to create 4 trinkets that Fayne wears. He has limited control over the four elements and uses them to aid in his rangery-ness, however, he can only use each element if he's holding that element's trinket close to his heart. Thus each trinket is on a necklace, though he's only figured out how to use one at a time.

In any case, each elemental trinket was given to him by various Gods/spirits/entities and each one is special.
