..and realms are allowed to modify the rules to exclude certain things. A local chapter could decide to allow things like metal elbows and knees right? Is there some sort of limit to how many of these rules a chapter can adjust to their choosing?
Maybe a couple rule variations like this:
"A Blue Weapon under twenty-four (24) inches in length has no weight minimum."
"The maximum weight of a javelin is sixteen (16) ounces."
"Javelins only have to conform to the 2.5" rule."
Couldn't you modify/add enough variations to be playing a totally different game, while still calling your realm a Dagorhir realm? Theoretically, your realm would be both games?

Many realms already do allow things like metal knees/elbows (Tartarus Invictus, etc) and as far as I know the only regulation to how many rules can be adjusted is in regards to hosting events under the banner of 'Dagorhir'.
We tried having this conversation before, but it devolved rather quickly into a "this isn't x game - it's y game!" argument.

The problem arises when you go else where and you are familiar to your rules.

Dagorhir reserves the right to shut you down if you wander too far off the reservation, but it's a hypothetical thing, cause it is just such a stupid idea. How big of a douche-bag would someone have to be to play a different game while advertizing it as Dagorhir?
This is one of those threads that turns into butthurt fast cause certain people use garbage like this to launch their own mini agendas of starting drama. We say you cant, and the drama queens get their panties wadded up screaming they are being repressed. Then they start trying to find out the limits of their idiotic drama fest by pointing to realms that make small changes that no one care.................
